That's a Chinese model, and i'd be careful because you'll probably kill it with a bad flash. You should have bought from a UK seller that does not sell gray imports.

I've got 24/7 recording already working (1 line with ffmpeg) and feel its overkill as well as bad for disk health. Want something like this where I record only the motion.

I just had an issue with a working setup (previously used to upgrade another camera). Found that If i set camera to defaults, and then set PC to same subnet it worked 1st time. Could be the firewall/gateway on the LAN interfering. Worked when i used static IPs on both camera and PC.
I just tried updating my second camera in the same way and it wasn't working. What I found worked was simply setting camera to "default values", setting PC to static IP on same subnet, and then via IE running the update (with AV off). Worked first time after that. Just in case some comes across...
Didnt help, I am using windows 10 pro and maybe thats the problem?. Turned off firewall and turned off AV (kaspersky) with neither options helping.
moved it to c:\ and now its working! :)
God this is painful, bought a camera thats UK spec and
its not playing ball upgrading the firmware. I'm using a netgear prosafe POE switch and not an injector.
