    Hikvision hard drive woes

I have exactly the same issue with is same model, I was woke in the middle of the night by a beeping noise and went to investigate. Turned out to be the CCTV trying to spin my 4TB WD Purple drive up, I just switched it off until I could deal with it in the morning. I purchased a new 4TB Seagate...

Hikvision Stuttering Live View on DS-7616NI-I2 NVR

Old thread I know but just to say I get pauses and stuttering when the video quality is set higher than medium.

    H265+ corrupt stream

That could be it, I will double check tomorrow.

    PoE Issues with Hikvision DS-2CD2142FWD-I

I would go with trying different plugs (not re-crimping the same type) as they are super cheap and the primary contact point for the connection. You have seen another cable with different plugs working so likely to be that or just the quality of the cable itself but I doubt that.

    H265+ corrupt stream

I seem to be having trouble with my 5mp G1 dome and/or maybe the NVR 4ch K1. When I set the cam to H265 it works fine, if I then add the + option after the cam reboots I get a normal picture for about 20 seconds then the time starts to corrupt, any motion is usually slightly corrupt and will...

Latest HikVision Firmware for EasyIP 3.0 Cameras - new V5.5.51 (G1 Series cameras)

Seeing some strange results after switching to this firmware, usually I can go to playback and switch to smart playback mode and it jumps fairly intelligently to each notification point, perhaps just 3 or 4 during the night. Now I have a thousands. Seems the NVR is receiving a lot more than...

    Firmware upgrade (odd) issue

Does it have a hardware reset button? Could give that a go as a last resort.

    Blurry area on new cam

Ahh yes you can see the plants on the right of the image are sharper than those on the left. Mine is the other way around, fence on the left is nice and sharp and on the right it's blurry..

    Blurry area on new cam

Just added an 8mp dome to swap out with my 5mp dome round the front of the property but the new dome seems to be blurry in the upper right quarter of the image and pin sharp everywhere else. Anyone else had this? Could it be a faulty lens? Also compared to the 5mp cam it's blurry

Hikvision 5MP camera - what resolution setting?

Nicer aspect ratio and wider field of view as well using the higher resolution compared to 2944x1656.

HikVision Firmware for EasyIP 3.0 Cameras - new V5.5.4 (G1 Series cameras)

Just to confirm the higher 6mp resolutions for the 5mp cameras are still available with this firmware.

    Accidentally firewalled my camera

Solved it, temporarily opened port 443 on the router and came in from the external address I had added to the filter list. Login popped up straight away allowing me to remove the filter and everything is back to normal, not sure why the local address I had added to the list just didn't seem to...

    Accidentally firewalled my camera

I gave it a go but it only allows me to modify the IP address details for the camera but will not add the camera to the top list where you can go further with the config. NVR went in fine.

    Accidentally firewalled my camera

School boy error, I was seeing if there was a way to IP filter my Hikvision NVR without buying anymore hardware (Virgin router does forwarding but not custom filtering), then I remembered the cameras themselves have an IP filter option, so I thought I'd give it a go. I added 2 IP's set to allow...

How to safely separate IP cameras on a network but still get access via the NVR

Sounds like you need some static routes added to your switch to switch traffic between vlan 30 and the default vlan 0
