Some cables are home made. The latest ones to the new 8MP were bought though. It seems odd that on a NVR with 160mb in and out I can’t achieve the max bitrate. I may try the H.264/5+ again and see how it goes.

Would it work if I had a bigger storage disk? I mean, I only have 1TB is that capping my bandwidth?

Tried that, I get all sorts of rubbish image quality I’m afraid

Thanks Phil, see attached. I can’t het higher than 4096 on Any camera regardless of resolution etc without locking up and freezing etc

I have DS-7616NI-K2 / 16P 7x4mp and 2x8mp turret All Hikvision Can only settle on 4096 bitrate (all cams @ full res) Is this correct? They should be at 16384 surely? Many thanks in advance!

FYI, this cleared after a week or so of being up - on the roof soffit. So, I would say to anyone if they can wait that long it should clear - that was in cold weather too. I imagine it would clear a lot quicker if it was warmer.

I have this problem with a new 8mp turret that I’ve just replaced in the same position where there was a 4mp. Misted up over night and has been like it now for 48hrs. Any ideas if this will clear on its own???
