I've got android phone. My phone did an update like they do every so often. But now I can't even open my hik connect app! It literally won't let me open it at all! Has anyone had this before? I'm guessing it's to do with my phone being updated. At least I think that's when it stopped working.

Is a network cable the same as my ethernet cable?

God I wish I didn't need the cameras. Last time when I had another problem with it (unrelated and easy to fix when you know what you're doing!) He didn't want to come out stopped responding. So I just rang another company and got them to come out. Thank you for helping me

I just leave it plugged in the router but I don't connect it to the laptop unless I'm working from home

Yes the internet is ok on laptop and mobile. The other one is ethernet cable I plug into laptop when I'm working from home so I don't use the WiFi. Should I plug that in my laptop then? Would that help?

Yes the laptop is connected to the WiFi at home and CCTV is connected to the same. Although the app is not on the laptop he said we couldn't put it on a laptop we put the hikvision app on my phone??
