Hik Connect App is not designed for permanent live view! Maybe use the old ivms 4500 as App or use directly browser live view.

The doorbell records no where? You need a nvr to record and save all playbacks.

Did you activated the motion detection under events for every single camera?

You can easily use that cameras, that Dan explained before. You will see, the new ColorVu or AcuSense 4MP Models make a very nice image, and your old 2MP Cameras are nothing against thats. For Indoor use Dome Cameras, for Outdoor i prefer Bullet! With the new cameras, you have nice functions...

You can add a IR Light (Standalone) extra to the camera, but needs power like 12V or 24V. The are standalone IR Lights, you have to google for it ^^

You have to look under smart events (Event Playback)

Yes its possible. You have to activate motion detection and maybe dynamic motion detection. And then in recording plan, use only motion recording and not alltime recording!

Maybe its because you using not hikvision cameras. Did you use the ONVIF Protocol?

You can use hik central or ivms 5200 for white and blacklisting or recording the plates!

DST ist like summer time! You have to set when summer time starts end ends! or you use NTP Mode, so the camera will sync with time server from uk (you have to set).
