Got prompted to update android app and the release notes mention the following. Am I correct thinking this is nothing for joe bloggs end users, as it mentions Hik-ProConnect platform? Notifications of device abnormalities is something I would consider useful for a lot of users. Any thoughts ??

Hi, looks like bug fix release is available on the global HIK website.. 4.51.006_210708 (no release notes) and not yet on the UK download portal. maybe its addressing some of the reported issues.

Using desktop mode option in the mobile brower renders those screens "correctly". at least i can see the whole table and can access the cam urls.

Noticed that some of the redesigned interface like user and camera management isn't rendering correctly in chrome on android (or any other mobile browser). Can't get to the camera url.. or do any other action.

Thanks Dan. because in other thread was mention of new G5 firmware on the global website, i had a look for the I Series NVRs.. and there they have firmware V4.51.005_210628.. lets hope that filters down to the UK portal soon (with release notes...)

That is true.. I have a white surface close to the camera that bounces the white light back into the cam - really messing up the rest of the image and haven't really managed to control it.. even person looking at the light - i won't get good image.

I got a G2 because of the white light trigger and yes was annoying to come on during the day. But guess what, the night time ambient light is enough to have great night time image without the white light. So am not actually using it so far at all...

as discussed on some older posts some IPC-B140 cams seem to be compatible with HIK R6 firmware Ben's camera has v5.5.82 atm, so must be differnt B140 to the ones listed on Hiwatch with v5.5.80. mind you the latest R6 version is 5.5.82_190909.. so not newer to what he has.

There have been some reports that too big jumps can cause problems. Wouldn't think that NVR breaks, but some things may not work properly. Don't think you need to upgrade every release. Maybe wait for some others to chip in with hands on experience owning the K series.

There are a few posts about the v4 firmware for the K models. Have a read before you upgrade to v4. The UK portal has the newer versions here. But not going back to your current version?
