what peeves me off is that I have the NVR set up via an IP address in Hik Connect ( I use wireguard ), the NVR does not send notifications to the App unless you use the cloud account (which is dog slow) .

I could not find the firmware, so left it as it. A different issue now, all the people's faces disappeared from the facial terminal ( it still opens for the correct people, but instead of showing their faces it shows a grey box with a question mark in it ) any ideas?

What OS are you running, I have an M1 Mac, and I opened Safari and just typed in the NVR's IP address.

I've find i often times use the Hik connect app for retrieval. Hik's web app is buggy at best.

Further to this, an Acusense NVR ( Even a 32 channel ) only supports "enable by device/nvr" on up to 4 none accusense cameras. The issue I experienced is because I in error already had it turned on, on the first 4 cameras. Which isn't needed as they are actually accusense cameras.

I think you have it the opposite way. Hikvision told me, if I enable "Enable AI by Device" then the NVR will do the Acusense. He explained to me that "Enable AI by Device" the device there is the NVR, read differently it should read as "Enable AI by NVR". The option is there for Acusense and...

I think I found the issue. Enable AI by Device is when you have an accusense NVR but not an acusense camera, the NVR can convert up to 4 cameras to acusense by enabling this setting. All my cameras are acusense already so it happens on the camera and not the NVR

I have both windows and mac and this is true, hikvision software is terrible. We are looking at SecuritySpy at the moment, just unsure how it will work with the access control part.

Hello Kyle, it does this in any browser ( I've tried; chrome, safari, edge and Firefox ) I logged in to D9 the camera in question ( also note it does it for all the cameras ). Logged into D9 under System>System Settings>VCA Resource, I can confirm "Smart Event" is enabled.

Hikvision does have a few brilliant analog options now even with colorvu at dirt cheap pricing compared to their IP counterparts, so I think maybe there is a new market where analog still plays a roll especially if you need 16 or more auxiliary cameras around a perimeter, very cheap...
