    Fault with HikvisionDS-2CD2342WD-1 4MP EXIR

Should be fine... just try connecting the original outside camera 1 to the NVR PoE port 1 with a short cable again to make sure nothing has changed and the camera still works. That's not cheating!... you must have pass-thru connectors which are easier to work with (I used those too):

Cable damaged, want to route cameras through the good Cat 5 cable, but will only show 1 camera

That would work, but he only has 1 working cable running outside.

Cable damaged, want to route cameras through the good Cat 5 cable, but will only show 1 camera

Yes, if you only have 1 cable coming in from outside, then you must connect that cable to the LAN not to a PoE port on the NVR. You can let the main router give them DHCP addresses or configure the IP address on each one manually. Yes, since you only have one cable going from the basement to...

    Fault with HikvisionDS-2CD2342WD-1 4MP EXIR

If you have an extra/spare short cable that is working and extra connectors, you could try/practice by replacing one of the connectors on that... then test the camera with it to see if what you did worked... if not, try again until you can successfully crimp the connector on the extra test...

In your case, it might be as simple as clicking on "Download Plug-in", closing the bowser, installing the plug in that was downloaded (just run the .exe), and maybe restarting your PC... try that!

DS_7608NXI-K2/8P LIVE VIEW AND PLAYBACK PROBLEMS SADP

You are not alone... you need to reload the browser plug-ins... check this thread... https://www.use-ip.co.uk/forum/threads/m-series-nvr-firmware-v5-04-070-release-250828.12733/ (Don't worry about the thread title mentioning M series firmware... most of it addresses the problem you are...

    M Series NVR - Firmware V5.04.070 Release 250828

It seems like some people load the plug-in and it doesn't work right away? Strange but if it's working now well enough, I guess! The only think I can think of is maybe try clearing the browser cache and cookies?

Cable damaged, want to route cameras through the good Cat 5 cable, but will only show 1 camera

First thing before you change anything... are you sure you know the camera passwords? They are probably the same as the NVR but not for sure. Hikvision has a tool called SADP to help with this... once you have the cameras moved to the LAN segment, the tool will find them and allow you to...

    M Series NVR - Firmware V5.04.070 Release 250828

I don't know why your cameras IP addresses would not show up under the connect column then. Can you access the camera GUI from your web browser directly like this?:

Do you have virtual host enabled? That's the Camera's GUI menu... we probably have different cameras... mine are mostly DS-2387G2-LU... what camera models do you have?

Cable damaged, want to route cameras through the good Cat 5 cable, but will only show 1 camera

Each PoE port on the NVR will only support 1 camera... So, if you are plugging the "good cat 5 connection and the 3 camera RJ45" into a PoE port on the NVR, then you will have that problem: "only get one camera recognized at any one time". If you take a look at the cameras @flycop2000 has...

    M Series NVR - Firmware V5.04.070 Release 250828

This button? I haven't used that before, but when I do (after enabling device remote configuration under "... More"), I get a new window that only allows camera configuration changes... the live view and playback functions are not there: What do you get it you use this button, (should be...

    M Series NVR - Firmware V5.04.070 Release 250828

Do you have "virtual host" enabled? Are you trying to access the camera GUI directly from the browser like this: Or are you trying to access the camera GUI from withing the NVR GUI... if so, can you post a screenshot that shows how you are trying to access the camera GUI?... showing what...

^^^ That is strange looking... is it the NVR GUI or a camera GUI that you are accessing there at 192.168.1.102? Something does not look right here: Can you post a pic of the first page you see after you login to the NVR (or camera) like this:
