VPro (Acuseek) NVR - First Impressions

There seems to be some issue with Hik-Connect push notifications being delayed for me with this recorder. For testing I've just set a motion detection alarm with 'notify surveillance center' on one of my cameras connected to the NVR that is in view of the TV which the NVR connects to. I've...

    Hik-Connect New Hik-Connect 6.10.x - Not an improvement

No not properly. If I select Smart Search and draw the grid, I get results marked as red markers on the timeline. However: I have to manually drag the timeline to the markers (it doesn't skip unrelated video) It struggles to play after scrubbing along that timeline The grid remains on screen...

VPro (Acuseek) NVR - First Impressions

Yeah we are both on iPhone - it's marginally more recent on iOS - 6.10.0.20250909.3. It looks as though the app has just been redesigned a bit but there are a few bugs as detailed in another post.

    Hik-Connect New Hik-Connect 6.10.x - Not an improvement

It's all working fine in iOS. I did have an issue with the previous version where once rotated in landscape, zoom wouldn't work; the magnification (1x, 2x) would appear on screen but the image would remain the same size. That's resolved in this version.

    Hik-Connect New Hik-Connect 6.10.x - Not an improvement

@alfaclvi - I updated the family members app to the new version (they have a KV6113 intercom installed). I didn't get that message showing up on app start, everything is normal on theirs. They're on iOS; I wonder if it is something specific to Android?

    Hik-Connect New Hik-Connect 6.10.x - Not an improvement

That’s a strange one. Are there any new options for your intercom in the notifications settings? I don’t have an intercom anymore but I’ll check on a family members tomorrow after updating the app to see whether they get the same message on app start.

    Hikvision colorvu

Your DS-7204HQHI-K1 will only accept cameras up to and including 2 megapixel resolution That model is a 5 megapixel / 3K resolution model and so out of the box it isn't compatible. You would have to either plug it into a DVR that supports 5 megapixel/3K or a HDTVi test monitor in order to...

    HikVision DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU

You're unlikely to get plates on moving vehicles. It may be possible during the day but at night it's not going to happen. 1/12sec is how the cameras ship. The setting is the longest exposure time that the camera will go down to so it's not necessarily using that 1/12sec. However 1/12sec is...

    Hik-Connect New Hik-Connect 6.10.x - Not an improvement

That must only apply to those with intercoms connected - I did away with mine some time ago. Have you checked that Me > Settings > Display Feature Information is turned off?

Yeah but we English are a little more refined lol

    Hik-Connect New Hik-Connect 6.10.x - Not an improvement

Hmm - the delayed notifications might be my dodgy new V Pro NVR then! I can't actually be sure when the delays started; I've had the alarms disarmed for a few days as I had a lot of work going on around the house. I'm getting the delays even when I'm on WiFi - I come home trip the line...

    Hik-Connect New Hik-Connect 6.10.x - Not an improvement

I updated Hik-Connect the other day from 6.9.880 to 6.10.0. It seems a step backwards as things have been moved around and changed. 6.9.880 - Clicking 'Me' you could log out/log in, see the version etc. 6.10.0 there's no version and no log out. To find the version, from 'Me' you have to go...

VPro (Acuseek) NVR - First Impressions

Several annoyances in the latest version of Hik-Connect released a couple of days ago: AcuSeek/AcuSearch were available directly by touching the active camera during playback. You could use AcuSeek on local only devices without being logged into Hik-Connect. Those icons have now been moved in...

VPro (Acuseek) NVR - First Impressions

Interesting that your firmware file was only 1.9GB. 5.05.351_250705 is 4.58GB on the DS-7608NXI-I2/16P/VPro. I'd have thought that the 8 and 16 channel versions of the same model would use an identical file. Unless your 1.9GB file was compressed (MacOS decompresses the file to 'digicap.dav'...

    G3 ColorVu Cameras - First Impressions/Review

I've still not tried the 8MP version. The two models use different firmwares; H13 U for the 4MP and H13 I for the 8MP version. The 4MP was delivered with 5.8.10_241205 and has since been updated through three different build versions of 5.8.13. The 8MP is still on 5.8.10 albeit a newer build...

Yeah I would monitor that thread for updates. I'm no longer using my M recorder so it's on the previous version.

Do you get an error when you try and display the cameras in Edge browser? Maybe try turning off Stream Encryption if you haven't already then clear your browser history and try again.

You must be tying it incorrectly. The encryption key is viewable if you go to System Settings > Network > Hik-Connect. On the third image on the screen beneath the QR code you'll see 'Verification Code'. Click the eyeball to view it and then you can type that into your app. On that same page...

    CCTV Camera connection DS-2CE16D0T-ITF

It should work if set to CVBS (Composite Video Baseband Signal) and connected to the TVs composite input (usually a yellow RCA connector). You'll need a BNC female to male phono adaptor.
