just tried that (using the NVR) and it didn't work its still saying wrong password. I don't have a 12V adapter. I'll try resetting using my router as a power supply. I'm unplugging, pressing the reset button and plugging in whilst holding reset button for 20 secs

would resetting it work? as in using the reset button on the camera then plug into the NVR again and seeing if it'll connect using plug n play?

well thanks for the help so far but that hasn't worked. It has a red cross and says "the username or password is wrong"

I am connecting to the NVR PoE port yes. the new camera is new and un activated so I'm going to try to connect it using the plug and play method now

Yes it's getting sent back and they have a few of them so have bought another and asked for them to check it before it's sent but I bet they don't. they did mention that it was sealed so couldn't explain it. seems a shame you can't buy a simple spart part like that

I've figured it out, here's how I did it if anybody else is stuck; Once Edge is opened, click on the 3 dots top right scroll down the list to "launch In IE mode" then in the pop up window select "always open this site in IE mode"

My PC must have updated something as I can't seem to stop edge opening when I click on internet explorer. seems the option to stop edge opining instead of IE has been removed completely now surely there must be a solution?

Is that how I have it now?
