Integration with smart home - turn on all lights

Yeah I couldn't remember whether the K1 had an alarm output, I think it's only on the K2. Yes if you're able to do that and pull the information per channel. Correct. There are specific Hikvision nodes to configure. Firstly you configure a server - which is your NVR; specifying the IP...

Integration with smart home - turn on all lights

There will be multiple ways of doing this depending on your smart home system. 1 - If your NVR model has the alarm output, you could configure your events from any camera to trigger that output closed. I'm not familiar with the Shelly so it depends on whether it uses a DC input or line voltage...

    Upgrading 7716NI-I4 firmware

Clear your browser history, quit the browser and try again. If that doesn't work try another web browser.

    I’m gutted right now!

    Power issue with DS-2CD2T87G2-L

That connection looks fine. Power it up using 12V and connect it to the network switch. You’ll possibly find that it works normally. There is (or used to be) a tiny voltage converter sealed inside the cable harness where the cable splits into network and 12V. Perhaps that failed. There’s not...

    G3 ColorVu Cameras - First Impressions/Review

It takes me a little time to articulate into a readable post. I'm certainly more tech nerd than blogger!

    G3 ColorVu Cameras - First Impressions/Review

I've finally got my hands on a couple of the new ColorVu 3.0 cameras to try out. These are the DS-2CD2xx7G3 models and I guess the next step on from the Hybrid light models (DS-2CD23xx7G2H). They (Hikvision) have dropped the 'H' for Hybrid in the model code but the functionality is the same...

Firmware Firmware v5.7.18 build 240924 for G5 platform cameras

They've just appeared here but some models are not yet. I can get the turrets but if I want live guard I'm stuck with 2.8mm (no 4mm yet), I think for the bullets only 2.8mm was available. I'm probably going to stick with the 4 MP models for better low light. There's also a 2647 upcoming...

    Hik-Connect Clarification about Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro

Yeah I was annoyed at the time. I can remember when HiDDNS on iVMS was so bad that Hikvision themselves would recommend port forwarding. Go forward a few years and they're advising strongly against port forwarding and instead using their free, secure, Hik-Connect platform with Hik ProConnect...

Firmware Firmware v5.7.18 build 240924 for G5 platform cameras

Yeah I think that firmware only addresses some issue in the PTRZ models. I've got two of the new 2347G3 models arriving in the next hour or so. They use a different firmware platform version, so it will be interesting to see whether Dual VCA will work on those. The only other AcuSense cameras...

    Hik-Connect Clarification about Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro

It's a strange one. The existing account is logged in at ieu.hik-partner.com so I'm not sure where the difference lies between yours and mine. The OP may be able to get around it as you say but I've about 70 sites. I'll maybe delete my own home site out of my business account and create a new...

    Hik-Connect Clarification about Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro

@alexdel - For just two NVRs I'd probably just recommend setting up a VPN to the site(s). That will allow you to configure the devices using a web browser without the security risk of port forwarding. As you can see from the above discussion Hik-Partner Pro is not so straight forward!

    Hik-Connect Clarification about Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro

Yeah that's annoying. HPP looked good while it was free, no more need for port forwarding or VPN to access devices remotely. Unfortunately I think Hikvision played us and once we jumped on board they made it chargeable. I have to add cost into a customers service charge now to cover it.

    Hik-Connect Clarification about Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro

@trempa92. The below is from Hik-Partner Pro: "Since December 2023, the "Health Monitoring Package" and the "Remote Maintenance Package" have been merged into a single offering known as "Remote Maintenance Pro." This new package will encompass and manage all functionalities from both packages...

    Hik-Connect Clarification about Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro

Then it has to be some regional restriction or perhaps because you're registered as an integrator (rather than just an installer) you have access to the service free of charge. In the UK about 18 months ago we started receiving communications from Hikvision that the service was going to be...

    Hik-Connect Clarification about Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro

There's nothing wrong with my account. I don't have a configuration limit either. I'm pointing out that the remote configuration part is not free and hasn't been for some time, it is chargeable unless you are on the site connected to the same LAN.

    Power issue with DS-2CD2T87G2-L

Take a look in the RJ45 socket where the cable connects to; are the pins free of corrosion? A common issue when the connection is not correctly weatherproofed is that moisture damages the pins. It only takes a tiny amount to short the power pins and cause damage. If there's no visible damage...

    Hik-Connect Clarification about Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro

You can add 1024 devices for free. Each device (camera, NVR) is free for one month after initial registration and then remote configuration is only possible with a chargeable (per NVR or per camera where directly registered to Hik-Connect) Health Monitoring package. I won't discuss costs on an...
