I wonder if that's because people may be smarter with their locations for the NVR box, putting them up in the loft space etc etc where it's more difficult to find? Not that i'd be the sort to do it of course(!!!) but if I were to try and break into somewhere, the first thing i'd want to do is...

Thanks a lot for your advice and help. Very much appreciated. I think i'm going to go with a HikVision Turbo DVR, then consider upgrading the cameras in the future if it's necessary, as funds allow. Hopefully figuring out a way to automatically back-up the recorded footage to the cloud too...
