Help with light exposure

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I had Hikvision cameras installed back in October, and they were working perfectly until a couple of weeks ago. Now, two of the cameras (Camera 2 and Camera 3) have started acting up.

I've attached an image showing how they're reacting to street lights — the brightness is overwhelming, making it hard to see anything clearly. It’s strange because everything was fine when they were first installed.

Has anyone experienced this before? Are there any settings I should check or adjust?

Video of one of the cameras: ScreenRecording_05-25-2025 00-16-49_1.mp4

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi @almas09

Can you please confirm the model numbers of the cameras with the street light overexposure?

Thanks @almas09

But this is the model number for the recorder and not the cameras.

Are the problem cameras directly connected to the ports on the recorder?

Yes they are connected to the dvr directly. How would I obtain their model numbers?

Okay,

Are you accessing the DVR with a direct HDMI monitor or a web browser?

Okay,

We have minimal experience with analog systems, so I'm not sure if it is possible to identify the model numbers of the analog cameras from within the DVR menus.

But analog cameras are pretty basic, so the image settings from model to model should be pretty similar.

On a direct monitor, can you please go to Configuration → Camera → Display, select one of the problem cameras, and send us a screenshot/photo of the image settings for that camera?

Okay, as soon as I get home I will send the settings config on here. Thanks for your help thus far, appreciated!
