I've had a Hikvision 7208 DVR for several years. It has worked flawlessly during this time. However I recently made some adjustment to the motion detect areas.
I first select full screen area, then blank out the areas I don't need, then save the new setting.
This works ok, but when I check recordings the following day, there are none, and the motion detect area has been wiped out.
I have five cameras and it's not always the same camera which is affected.
I have tried this several times and the same problems arise. Last evening I checked the settings before bed. All were ok. This morning two of the cameras had lost their motion detect areas.
I'm lost for ideas. Anyone offer any advice?
