Functional Improvements

I got the same notification yesterday, but after the issues I've had with the last upgrade (to 1.3.0) i opted to stay away from it, at least for now.

So, last evening, annoyed by the constant pop-up reminding me to upgrade I decided to give it a go.

Short story: it worked as expected, I have not found yet any new issues.

Notes:
1. Make sure you create a backup of the control panel config.
2. Make sure you update your HI-Connect mobile app before attempting the upgrade
3. Reboot the control panel before upgrading.

I have the DS-PWA96-M-WE control panel

Soooo....
One thing I've had happen...

A device's battery ran out and had gone offline...

Now lets say it was offsite and had no access to the property... At the moment because this device is offline and on its settings is the cannot arm with error etc.

I actually can't disable it, access its settings or anything... So for that "zone" it can't be set at all until someone replaces the battery.

Would be nice if i could disable the device temporarily... Or even remove it from the zone temporarily... Trust me I've tried!

Any ideas? Or is this a fantastic mess-up /error....

You can delete device from the system in the AX Pro web interface. Then replace the battery. Then add device to the system once more.
Imagine 20/30 of these units all setup with their settings etc and your idea is to delete everyone that you replace the batteries for and then add them back afterwards...
Yeah that's not happening is it..

You’ve mentioned a device in your original request. There’s nothing about multiple devices
This way your request / question becomes pretty unclear.
Even replacing one device, having to delete it is silly...
What if you have it setup with a link to a cctv... Aswell as perhapse numerous linked areas etc.

User permissions for that device may also get removed.

So for that "zone" it can't be set at all until someone replaces the battery.
So now you have " numerous linked areas", not just a single zone.
I actually can't disable it, access its settings or anything...
Looks like you have just installed a first AX pro somewhere at your “parent’s house” and got a pretty abstract, mindless question. Look into Hikvision’s partner solutions if you are interested in managing multiple sites and areas remotely.
