    Hi Dan,

    I own a Hikvision DS-2CD2442FWD-IW camera and unfortunately I forgot the web login password. I already tried all the standard reset procedures but the device does not return to factory settings. Hikvision support refused to help because I bought it abroad while traveling. Could you please advise if there is any other way to reset it or regain access?

    Hi Dan,

    I'm a little out of touch with CCTV, and have a really old 6 x camera 4mp POE Swann system that I need to update.
    I'm not wedded to any particular camera style, but need something modern with good day & nigh vision, high fps etc.
    Would be kind enough to recommend a good residential Hikvision setup / bundle that would meet my needs?

    Hi! I have a Hikvision DS-2CD1343G2-IUF (G2 platform) on firmware V5.8.10. I need to enable RTMP push to stream directly to my VPS/YouTube. I’ve seen mentions of a “Support RTMP” or “TMP-push” firmware (IPC_G2_EN_STD_5.5.131_210120_RTSP_RTMP.zip) but can’t find it for my model. Can you confirm if it exists or how I can upgrade safely?

    The camera you have is a G2 model, but specifically it is a 1-series G2 camera (1xx3G2) and uses firmware from the E10 Firmware family.

    As far as we are aware, there's no RTMP firmware for the 1-series G2 cameras.

    The RTMP firmware you mention is for the 2-series G2 cameras (2xx6G2), which use the G3 Firmware family.

    Hi, i bought https://uinview.com/ds-2cd1343g2-liuf-p01269p1 .html camera. Which is rebranded DS-2CD1353G2-LIU(F). It arrived and it was original hikvision. My problem now is the hikvision model i just typed seem to not exist. When i search for it only 6mp and 8mp versions appear in google. Can you help me a bit here, is it hikvision camera or not? Where can i find the product page for this camera?

    It looks like a genuine Hikvision model number, but from a bit of Googling it looks like this model has been primarily designed for the OEM/Rebadged market.

    This is where Hikvision manufactures the cameras for 3rd-party resellers like the one you've linked above or this FactoryDirect brand on Alibaba.

    You won't find this model on any Hikvision website and it also likely won't use any existing Hikvision firmware.

    This is one of the reasons we always tell customers to purchase their Hikvision products from an authorised Hikvision reseller/installer like us.

    Hi I want to use a security camera for nighttime boating. So very low light and low latency performance is what I’m after.
    And I need analog video output or hdmi output. I can adapt TVI to hdmi.
    So can you recommend a low latency, high frame rate, very low ambient light camera with tvi output?
    My current choice is Ds-2ce72hft-f28

    Hi, I have an issue with a Hik Vision System where the it says on the app that the HDD does not exist and when I check the system it says HDD , does not exist, I've tried to clear the memory however it would not clear.

    I can see the love feed however I cannot get any playback.


    Any suggestions on how I can resolve this ?

    Wonder if you could help me again my hvr is 2mp but allows 4mp ip cameras. I have juat installed the pz camera with the new poe injector.

    But the cam comes up with no resorces but works fine in 1080p. I believe it's to do with thw bit rate.

    Wondered if you could help me with this

    I have a question for you please, as I am currently making a video installtion.
    I have 9 cameras (Axis M3024-LVE 1920x1080) connected to a PoE switch D-Link DGS-1210-28P.
    And I am planning to purchase a HIKVision NVR. I was wondering to purchase a Hikvision DS-7616NI-K2, as I don't need the NVR being PoE as my cameras are powered on by the switch.

    Or is a DS-7616NI-K1 enough ? As I just want to record video on motion detection during 30 days (or maybe less) and can lower the reolsution of the cam if need it and will not use other functionality

    Hi Dan, I am struggling to activate my Hikvision DS-2CD2327G1-L cameras. When I directly plugged one of those cameras in my computer, I can browse the IP but wont proceed in the password, it has an error says "Device error" and same problem in the SADP but says "Time out". I do not know what causes that error.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi, we would probably recommend a DS-7616NI-I2/16P 16-channel NVR, the reason is that we have had reports that the latest 8MP AcuSense/ColorVu cameras are using very large amounts of bandwidth (around 20-25Mbps each) and so 4 of them could use as much a 100Mbps which is more than any of the 4-ch or 8-ch Hik NVRs support.
