Hi there,

I'm desperately looking to get hold of the firmware upgrade files for my 2014 Fisheye camera, serial: DS-2CD6332FWD-I20140703CCWRxxxxxxxxx. I think this is the R4, first generation of the model.

It's currently on a very early release which is V5.0.9 build 140529 and the goal is to get it to V5.4.801_210812. Initially I'm trying to locate all the steps in between, starting with 5.2.0.140721 or any of the other 5.2.x flavours such as 5.2.0.140909 or 141201. I believe I might also need to upgrade something manually on the way too.

If you have successful experience of this upgrade or knowledge of it or even better the files or file locations, I'd be unbelievably grateful. Any help/tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

George

Hi there,

Thanks so much for replying, really appreciate your help. In the meantime I had managed to get from 5.0.9 to 5.4.5.170206 which unfortunately removed th hik connect functionality along the way. I've been very keen to try the 5.4.8.something - my camera is an R4 release EN region. I tried downloading that file but it's not available - when you click on it (logged in or not) it comes up with an XML error. Is there somewhere else I can get it for the R4 and EN region?

It is available, but with different permissions :)

Sadly its giving me error when i want to upload here. So here is wetransfer 3day valid link to download.

Hi,

Perfect - I'm away from he camera but will try that when I'm next back at the boat in a day or so (It's my engineroom camera in case they go on fire when I'm on the water). Just to confirm this is definitely the R4 release as it doesn't say in the zip file name? I checked it against the R2 digicap.dav (13,671kb) size and at 25,092kb, it's clearly a different beast so hoping it's good to go. My hope is his will bring back the Hik Connect menu - do you happen to know around about which firmware version they took it out? I remember there being a "Platform Access" in an earlier version while I was going through 5.2.x, 5.3.5 (I think!). Anyway thanks again for sending the file which I'll load up when back.

They did not take it out. It look like you have some issues. It should be on pretty much any fw
