Hello guys,
I installed some cameras about 3 months ago, and all worked perfectly until about 4days ago when I tried accessing them via the Hik Connect app (as I had always done before) and they simply showed me "device offline" on the left side and "local device" to the right.
I have tried checking the setting I was suspecting to be in err but no success in viewing the cameras via the app. On the local network i can access the cameras via the Hik Connect app (even when logged onto the local wifi/LAN to which the NVR is connected). The NVR has the same IPv4 range (192.168.100.*) as the router from the ISP, same subnet mask and default gateway. The NVR also has an internal IPv4 address (192.168.254.*), which I am meant to think is the assigned MAC-related IP address of the NVR. The IP cameras connected to the POE ports of the NVR also have the same IP ranges as that of the internal IPv4 address of the NVR (i.e. 192.168.254.*, ...........).
The HIK connect server is correct and shows status as "online", however still unable to access the cameras via the Hik Connect app when I am off the LAN onto a different internet connection.
What can I do to restore my camera's access so that I can remotely keep viewing the cameras even when off the LAN?
Thank you.
