You would do the 'Restore to default settings' and not the 'Restore to factory settings'. It should keep your network and user account information. You'll likely have to reprogram everything else.I was just ready to ask you about restoring.
So if I restore I will have to setup again all the other settings in the NVR? Like ntp time, dual vca etc?
Just set up your AcuSense camera channels as you want ensuring that on each channel that it's set to 'VCA by Camera' before you start. And after that how you suggest to set them up later?
It doesn't make any difference which you set up first. I'd just suggest doing your AcuSense cameras first with 'VCA by Camera' and your non AcuSense cameras afterward. Now I have motion detection enabled on all of my cameras 24/7 and I use smart events on almost all of my cameras that are enabled some hours in the day in order to send notifications. So do you suggest starting by setting the motion detection first and after that set the smart events?
I personally don't bother with any schedules. Events can be scheduled in the NVR and if the linkage is for notifications, they can be separately scheduled in the Hik-Connect app. I just use motion covering a wider area with notifications off combined with smart events covering my property only with notifications on. My NVR and firmware version allow me to combine cameras into areas that can be armed or disarmed individually in Hik-Connect. That may or may not be possible for you depending on your NVR and its latest firmware version.
