Hey,

Just saw what seems to be a potentially new indoor station? DS-KH9570-WTE1/S DS-KH9570-WTE1/S

I must say it looks very polished - wondering if anyone has had a chance to try it, and how it behaves vs DS-KH9510-WTE1 (In particular if it solves one of my pet peeves with the 9510 in that the Hik-Connect application is limited compared to the mobile/stand-alone app you install separately)

Actually there will be 2 versions of new indoor station.

The one you mentioned and DS-KC version

KC version will have better intergation with smart home systems and i would wait for that one.

Overall it is a step up in resolution as it now supports a bit better than fullHD, compared to previous one which wasnt even 720p

Also there is a new outdoor unit with 4MP compared to all precious 2MP ones.

Wait Q1 2026 around februrary, KC will be released, it will be more powerfull version as it will have more RAM as well.

Interesting, thanks for the tip!

Any idea what smart home connectivity it will have? (E.g. home assistant or something more properitery to Hik?)

It will support few protocols, last i heard tuya was one of it. But you can always run HomeAssistant on it as a web app or app itself, as you will be able to install 3rd party aps

I believe it will be android 14.

For more information i believe we still need to wait a bit. But if i were on your place i wouldn't rush with the one mentioned.

Are you sure about this? Do you know the full model name of it?

Hi, yes i received all 3 versions. I Took the most expensive one KC version, and atm i only see KNX integration so far. I am to believe they did too much marketing for upcoming firmware versions that arent released yet.

Good things:

Integration with alarm, cctv locally. Unlike previous android model which required HikConnect and internet access for integration, this can integrate locally.

UI is extremely fast, no bottlenecks, runs smooth.

HomeAssistant app can be installed and runs really good.

Do you have any other questions?

Music to my ears!

For now I can only see the KH model in stock in most places, did you get to test that as well, to see if that also performs well?

Mostly the device will be used for HA and CCTV viewing so not sure if I need the extra ROM from the KC series or not (not sure if the processor is different as well)

I didnt have time to test KH version yet. Will do in future as i need to give feedback to sales so they can push. But i believe KH version should handle HA as well.

Design is magnificent, one of best POE tablets i saw so far. UI is designed really "High tech fancy"

If you need liveview, you dont even need HA, as it handles via ONVIF everything well. It can be single channel or splitted up to 4
