I can't live view on the app anymore??

I noticed the other day that I can't live view on my app anymore, this is the first time I've noticed and It doesn't seem to coincide with any modifications I've done to my network or CCTV system

I know the NVR is connected to the internet as I get notifications of smart events on the app(and I can view them), but if I click on a camera it just shows the loading bars and then times out. it says "device streaming timed out, check the device or network connection"

any ideas?
 
shortly after the above post I unplugged the ethernet cable supplying the NVR as I installed a bigger switch, , and to my surprise a few days later when looking at the app everything was working. maybe it reset something?

worked ok for around 10 days or so, now can't live view anymore. it's certainly not a internet connection problem as events are still recorded and can be viewed in the app,

has to be something to to with hik connect doesn't it??
