Hik-Connect New Update

Ahh, now I understand..............

I had never had my NVR connected to a monitoring app (iVMS-4500, now Hik-Connect) via the Hik-Connect cloud, but always directly to my router’s IP address (because I have a public static IP). I was looking for AcuSearch and AcuSeek and found the guide explaining how to do it via Team Mode. Now, after your reply, it occurred to me to explore the app once more and check whether I could connect the NVR from a personal account to the Hik-Connect cloud. And it turns out I can, and of course AcuSeek/AcuSearch works. Thanks for your patience.

I’d like to ask one more thing: what is the best way to set it up so that my wife has access to the NVR and also to AcuSeek/AcuSearch? Until now, in iVMS-4500 she simply had her own login/password for the NVR, and through that she could view the cameras. How should this be handled now with the Hik-Connect app and the Hik-Connect cloud? Should I create an account for her in the NVR, set permissions, and then have her scan the QR code in the NVR with the app to connect the NVR via Hik-Connect, or should I keep Team Mode and have her join the Team? Thanks.
